Starting again (… again!)

The last time I was in the flow of running regularly (and enjoying it) was April. But then I got ill. I then started to run a bit at the start of the summer but life got in the way, and I never really got back to it.  

One of the things that got in the way was cycling (1111 km) around the Netherlands with the family, so I’m not complaining. But I’m out of shape, low on confidence, and need to shift a stone for running to be helpful (rather than harmful) before all the rest of it…

Birthday run

Duathlon done. Didn’t come last (quite…)

Duathlon… that had once been a triathlon…. done! So the main thing is that I turned up (60 out of the 170 entrants didn’t). And the most important thing is that I completed it. The details probably don’t matter too much…. I came 90th overall, but I was the 25th female! So… quite a male-dominated…
